NLSAT Exam Guide: Your Gateway to NLSIU Bangalore's 3-Year LL.B. Program.

Introduction

The 3-Year LL.B. (Hons.) program at the National Law School of India University (NLSIU) is a postgraduate degree open to graduates from all disciplines. The curriculum includes core and elective courses, internships, and emphasizes interdisciplinary study and experiential learning. It's a full-time program beginning on July 1 each year, with admissions based on the National Law School Admissions Test (NLSAT-LLB). 

The NLSAT-LLB examination comprises two parts: Part A (Multiple-Choice Questions for 75 marks) and Part B (subjective questions for 75 marks). 

Eligibility requires a Bachelor's degree with minimum aggregate marks of 45%. 

The total seat intake is 120, with specific reservations for various categories. 

To break down the seat reservation for the total of 120 seats:
General Category (GC): 40.5% of 120 = 48.6 typically rounded to 49 seats
Scheduled Castes (SC): 15% of 120 = 18 seats
Scheduled Tribes (ST): 7.5% of 120 = 9 seats
Other Backward Classes (OBC): 27% of 120 = 32.4, typically rounded to 32 seats
Economically Weaker Sections (EWS): 10% of 120 = 12 seats

Horizontal Reservations(filled from the categories above)
Persons with Disabilities (PWD): 5% of 120 = 6 seats 
Women: 30% of 120 = 36 seats  
Karnataka Students: 25% of 120 = 30 seats  
Please note that horizontal reservations are filled from the categories above and do not add additional seats to the intake.
